I love nginx! I've almost finished a blog series of running Mono on nginx on Ubuntu/Azure.

If you're on Azure anyhow, why not use Windows and skip Mono? I don't have personal experience with either, but I hear that Mono is still quite a bit slower (although still fast enough for most purposes, I suppose).
