My whole comment was about the need for a thinking, feeling human being. Is it surprising that I am emotional about it?


Funnily, of all your comment, the only word I objected to was the one right before "insulting": "almost". Thinking that LLM can replace humans outright expresses hubris and disdain in a way that I find particularly aggravating.


Emotion takes away from the idea. Instead of thinking: "Oh this is a great point. There is immense economic value here."

It becomes: This person is fearful of their job and used feeling to justify their belief.


Writing about the importance of empathy in terms of economic value would probably take away a lot more from the idea.
