If you would read the article, they’re coming to replace the registry as well instead of being a new developer front end npm, yarn, etc) against the same npmjs registry everyone is used to.


The HN title says “package manager” but that’s nowhere in the article, so it’s a bit confusing for sure.


Probably someone else and not OP, posted it here... Hence the confusion.


It’s the 4th paragraph. First sentence.

Right under the heading “What is JSR”.


I mean yes... but the sentence clearly says that it's /not/ a package manager.
