The fact that the other companies which went with a more thoughtful roll-out, delaying the time to market, got a much better track record, is a strong counter-counter-point IMO.
If you don't count disengagements then what metric do you use? Because I'd guess a statistically significant portion of disengagements are likely accidents that would've happened--if not for human intervention. Which if we're calling it 'full' self driving suggests you shouldn't need to intervene at all.
