It’s interesting to see what’s Google’s next move. laMDA was also impressive.


Google seems to be holding back due to AI safety concerns, and the problems inherent in doing anything at Google scale. I’m curious to see if potential market competition will change that.


I reckon Google is holding back more because there’s no way to moentize this to the tune of $150B/year.

No initiative can get implemented at a large publicly traded company if it doesn’t contribute to the bottomline in some meaningful way eventually. And this thing might actually hurt the bottomline. No bueno.
