As for harsh form of that sometimes boss needs to be harsh. There are limits and buffers to almost anything in that reality.
And as for remote working security: it's very, very hard ! What tools you can use ? Zoom, MS Teams/Skype, Signal, vpn ? Nothing is even close or even far from working in company place.
Team/company building and cooperation and gains from that ?
Remote working could be allowed for some less important and well defined work. But IMO it should be less paid, because it's less important, etc. Of course almost everything vary.
And there is no doubt that remote work allows to pretend better to do actual work. Don't agree ? Make some scientific study that will, somehow, contradict that common knowledge and sense. Remote work allows and makes more peoples to pretend more.
