At one point, Canon was the good pupil of printers-scanners, worked for 12 years, cheap at purchase, ink expensive like everywhere else, driver for CUPS (Linux) and not much call-home in Mac drivers.

I’m sad if Canon reverted its game for anti-buyer shenanigans.
