Projects maintained by OpenBSD developers outside OpenBSD

wow. I didn't even think about sudo like that...



Not only that, the guidance you get (first root email, man afterboot, etc) enforces you to use a limited user instead of root and to learn about sudo.

OpenBSD now is using 'doas' instead of sudo (so the guidance you get points to 'doas', not to 'sudo').

When I did first try openbsd in the 4.x series, it was using sudo.


Also consider it really has one maintainer for all these years and is extremely complex in its capabilities

This is probably why they replaced sudo with doas.

edit: oh, seems sudo maintainership history is more complex and current maintainer has an openbsd commit bit.
