I'm a fanboi! I found this film incredibly powerful (esp. the comments during the closing credits). I've become a real bore when chatting with friends and other parents about this subject. Now I can simply say "watch The Social Dilemma" and return to discussing the weather!
It is great indeed. The only thing that disappointed me was the way they presented the increase in depression data. They mention that there was a 100 and something percent of increase, which is a percentage of 2 percentages.
Other than that, I think that it brings to light what (possibly) happens behind the covers of those systems, as it's always trying to get you back on the platform. I remember that every time I get a notification about something.
This film and The Great Hack form a great duo, in my opinion.
I donate every year when they remind me. I also send my BAT from Brave to them as I’m hoping they can use that. I’ve spent a few hours (probably a couple of days total) editing content.
Contrast the BBC headline with Reuters’ ”Cyber attack on EasyJet gets details of 9 million customers”. I love the BBC content but the news output seems to be far too focused on number of eyeballs than “facts”/accuracy. I find it infuriating.
Probably not what you're looking for but it works for me. If you're physically able, take up running. It doesn't have to be far or fast just getting outside is enough. Listen to an inspiring podcast or audiobook while you do it ("how I built this" is my favourite). As extra motivation to get out, I don't allow myself to listen to that when I'm not running. Running is really time efficient. HIIT is also good for 20-30mins of exercise but it doesn't work for me because I can't listen to a podcast and hear the instructions.
When I'm back at my desk I'm far more productive & energised. I make it a daily habit and leave all the kit in the same place so it's easy to do it on those "off" days.
Yes, this happens to me on an Echo Dot. The responses I've noticed don't seem to be replaying previous queries but rather completely unrelated queries to the people in our house or our location. It's like a classic "crossed wires" from the old telephone operator. I guess it happens once/twice a month.
Interesting, this was an echo dot for me too. I have both a dot and regular Echo and haven't heard anything from the Echo, although it's in the other room and I might not notice at night. Maybe a Dot thing.
Someone probably just mixed up the hash keys for the password field and the hint field. The hint needs to be stored unencrypted so that it can be displayed.
Agree. It's probably an issue with the form, nothing underlying. (which means encrypted containers created via the command line should be safe from this vulnerability?)
